A poll conducted by Buzz news has found that 64.3% of AFC Bournemouth supporters are currently not happy with the club’s January transfer business.

Results also show that Cherries fans are wanting a new attacker, with 78.6% of fans agreeing, after Brazilian striker Evanilson suffered a broken metatarsal on the 4th January.

Despite that, supporters remain confident in Andoni Iraola’s men, as 57.1% believe the Cherries can qualify for Europe this season.

This news comes following Bournemouth’s 2-2 draw with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, where an injury-stricken reds were denied a fantastic win by a Reece James 95th minute free-kick.

Following the game, on the injuries, Iraola said, “It’s a big worry, the last month and a half we were in a very difficult situation numbers wise.

“We are having help from the young players, but most of them are not ready to play a big game like today [against Chelsea].”

The Cherries currently sit in 7th place in the Premier League, just one point behind champions Manchester City and three points behind 4th placed Chelsea.

At present, there are eight AFC Bournemouth players out injured, while key goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga missed last night’s clash due to the terms of his loan agreement with the London club.

About Oli Headington

I've always been absolutely football mad. Growing up in Essex, I had a great selection of local league and non-league sides which I could go and watch every weekend, and have developed a love for non-league football as well as support for Chelmsford City.
