AFCON 2026 fixture list been announced.

The competition will take place from December 21st 2025 to January 18th 2026.

Currently AFC Bournemouth have one African player who’s nation is attending AFCON, Dango Ouattara of Burkina Faso.

Burkina Faso will face Algeria, Equatorial Guinea and Sudan.

Dango Ouattara, who scored a hattrick against Nottingham Forest last weekend, will hope to head to Morocco to represent his country when the squads are announced

Ghanaian Antoine Semenyo will not be attending this year’s competition to the relief of some Cherries fans.

Ghana, who haven’t been absent from AFCON since 2004, were embarrassed in their qualifiers, losing 2-1 to 122nd ranked and drawing to Angola in the last game of the group.

After this shocking group stage exit, Semenyo will be available on the south coast throughout the AFCON period.
