Bournemouth AC’s Somalia star Abdinasir Mahamoud Elmi has secured his biggest win of his career winning the South of England Cross- Country Championship.
Elmi beat the defending champion James Kingston of Tonbridge AC by an astonishing margin of 69 seconds to win the South of England Championships.
He ran the nine miles in 45 and a half minutes around Beckenham Palace.
Since coming to Dorset in October 2024, the Somalian had won nine of ten races on the power of 10.
With a 4th place finish to finish off 2024, Elmi will be delighted with his start to the new year.
Whilst Poole AC’s Fred Harris ran an impressive 49:27 and finished in 64th place at Beckenham Palace.
