Bournemouth pup, Chester, will be on TV screens in March.
He has been nominated for the “Most Handsome” category in the beloved dog competition, Crufts.
Chester is a one-year-old Border terrier cross Cocker Spaniel, making him still a puppy.
His owner, Jody Hall, said she is “over the moon” that Chester is attending.
She said: “There were 170 other dogs in his category, and he made it into the top ten. I was just thrilled to be in the top ten to be honest.”
After making it into the top ten of ‘Scrufts’, a dog competition in Newbury, Berkshire, Chester won in his category.
Winning Scrufts landed Chester the pass for entering Crufts in Birmingham.
Jody said: “When they told me he won, I couldn’t believe it.”
She followed this with: “I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life, none of them being show dogs. When I learnt how quickly Chester picked things up, I knew I had to get him out there.”
Chester has a supportive fanbase cheering him on in the competition.
Jody is a dog groomer, so many of her doggy clients will be rooting for Chester.
She also lives with her two children- Lily, aged 11, and Luke, aged 8 who are very excited to experience going to Crufts with their family dog.
Chester and Jody are regulars at the popular ‘Poole Bikes on the Quay’, where Chester is often riding on the back of a motorbike.
Crufts is taking place at the NEC in Birmingham and is on from the 6th to the 9th of March.
You will be able to watch the Bournemouth star on Saturday the 8th of March.
