Leicester City owner, Vichi Srivaddhanaprabha, along with with two of his staff, Nursara Suknamai and Kaveporn Punpare, pilots Eric Swaffer, and his girlfriend Izabela Roza Lechowicz, were killed in a helicopter crash leaving the King Power stadium on the 27th of October, 2018.

On Tuesday, a jury declared the crash accidental after being previously instructed of their verdict.

This verdict comes after Srivaddhanaprabha’s family sued the helicopter manufacturer for £2bn.

In Vichi’s son’s, Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha, statement, reported by Sky news, he said “My father trusted the design of this helicopter. It was Leonardo’s (the helicopter’s manufacturer) responsibily to make sure the helicopter was safe. It was not safe, it was a death trap.”

Srivaddhanaprabha and the pilot crew were killed in the crash after a fault caused the propellors to rapidly spin out of control, before crashing and bursting into flames, the inquest heard.
