Hamas-run Prisoners’ Media Office confirm that 110 Palestinian prisoners have been freed today.
Buses carrying released Palestinian prisoners have arrived in Ramallah after moving off from Israel’s Ofer Prison in the occupied West Bank.
Out of the 110 that have been released, 32 were sentenced to life and 48 were serving long sentences with 30 of them being children, the youngest of which are reported to be two 15 year olds.
Those who are being released have been locked away for 15 months.
It’s reported that drones were flying above the Gaza Strip dropping leaflets to warn people not to celebrate as they release people on their own terms.
