Once he had been inaugurated Donald Trump announced executive orders imposing hardline immigration policies.
He also announced a ‘national energy emergency’ and the creation of an ‘external revenue service.’

As one of his first moves as President, Trump pardoned 1,500 MAGA supporters who were charged over January 6, 2021, riot at the US Capitol.
Elon Musk, the Administrator for the Department of Government Efficiency, attended the inauguration as well as other famous faces including, Boris Johnson, Nigel Farage and Jeff Bezos.
Unsuccessful candidate Kamala Harris also watched the handover of power.
