Behind Closed Doors, a Dorset based wrestling promotion successfully launched their Guardians of the Grapples tour and now look forward to more shows this weekend.
The tour kickstarted last Friday, with four matches featuring top professionals from all over the world.
The Guardians of the Grapples first show was highly anticipated and provided an evening of family friendly entertainment.
Now the club looks forward to this weekend, which will see their final two shows of the tour, in Ferndown and Bridport.
James Riley, promoter and trainer at Behind Closed Doors, is excited about what’s ahead after their crowd in the last show.
He said “It was our first time in the venue so as far as fan feedback goes, absolutely, they were into it. It was a very lively crowd, and everyone enjoyed it and can’t wait for us to come back.”
Riley explained that the final two shows take place in special venues. “The Barrington Arts holds a special place in my heart because it was the first place I ever run my first ever show, so that’s always exciting.”
“I say it’s like our Maddison Square Gardens in this area, it’s got that special atmosphere.”
“Bridport is a first-time venue [for us] and that’s always exciting as well, seeing what the atmosphere is like and if you can build one. Testing new areas as well even though it’s all in Dorset, different areas, different towns and different types of wrestling fans.”
Title matches and tag matches are confirmed for the card, including the introduction of some new talent.
The shows will be hosted on January 25th at the Barrington Arts Centre at 7pm, and January 26th at Bridport Youth and Community Centre at 5:30pm.
