Eye in the Sky Drones is a Wimborne-based company specialising in advanced drone services in Dorset, Hampshire, Wiltshire, and surrounding areas. From woodland to open fields, you can conduct cliff searches, too.

Its primary focus is locating lost dogs and animals using state-of-the-art thermal imaging technology.

Dave Rimmer, an Iraq Veteran, founded Eye in the Sky a year ago. The service uses thermal drone technology to help reunite owners with lost dogs. Rimmer has various qualifications from the British Forces and has applied these skills to his career.

“Locally, a dog went missing, and I wanted to do all I could to help; I met the guy and felt I was walking around not being very useful, and I went home and thought about how I could help more and realised drones might be way forward and found out they did thermal drones which tied in what I did in the forces.”

Then one thing led to another, and I jumped in with both feet.”

Dave is still looking for sponsors to push the business and has been in contact with large pet companies.

Pets Corner did reach out to Dave, but due to their budget, they could not follow through with the sponsorship.

“I’m not being greedy, but the more money we can get in, the more we can expand, and the more dogs we can reunite.”
