Halo nightclub in Bournemouth finds a new buyer

One of the most popular nightclubs in Bournemouth is set to reopen after having closed its doors in March 2024.

Based in a converted church on Exeter Road, the nightclub had been operating since 2013.

Nick Hooper, a DJ that used to perform at Halo, said: “I preferred the big headliner shows we used to do here.

“I feel like that’s what Bournemouth’s really missing, so something like Halo coming back would really be able to help put Bournemouth back on the map, but also bring a venue that’s got great production, lighting, sound which some other venues around lack.

“I think due to cost-of-living and also options and lack of shows, the Bournemouth nightlife has deteriorated a bit.”

The venue was unable to keep up with the cost-of-living crises and closed its doors after 11 years of being open.
