Hamworthy Recreation enjoyed a successful Tuesday night as they beat Shaftesbury 4-3 on penalties, after a 2-2 draw in the Dorset Senior Cup semi-final at the BJM stadium, securing back-to-back final appearances.
Goals from Eddie Hodge and Sean Wright took Hamworthy to a shootout, and the winning penalty from Sonny Pike sent the home side to a second DSC final in a row.
Hamworthy assistant coach, Ryan Andress, said: “We’re delighted to be going to back-to-back Dorset Senior Cup finals, and we hope we can successfully defend it.”
Hamworthy Recreation will face National League South side Weymouth in the final on the 11th or 12th of March after the Terras won 3-1 against Sturminster Newton United.
