Lewis Hamilton has enjoyed his first taste of a Ferrari Formula 1 car after testing at the team’s Fiorano track.
Hamilton tested a 2023 model, after working at the Ferrari factory in Maranello for the past two days.
He completed his laps at 11:00 local time, with his teammate Charles Leclerc testing it in the afternoon.
The purpose of testing is for Hamilton to acclimatise to the Ferrari engine, and build a relationship with new race engineer Riccardo Adami.

His Instagram caption said “Today, we start a new era in the history of this iconic team, and I can’t wait to see what story we will write together.”
Lewis Hamilton joins Ferrari following a 12-year stint at Mercedes, and will have his first race for the historic team on March 16th.
