Yellow weather warning for wind has been cancelled by the MetOffice

Poole police said on Facebook

“Storm Éowyn has been on full effect over the night. Large trees have been blown down blocking roads around POOLE.
Please be aware on your commute that some roads may be closed and be careful when driving of debris.
Remember to call Police if you come across anything fully blocking the road.”

A tree has fallen down blocking Boscombe Spa Road.

The rain has past but high winds are still persistent and are causing disruption on the trains

There are delays of up to 40 minutes on South Western Railway between Basingstoke and Exeter St Davids.

There are cancellations between Basingstoke and Weymouth.

There are cancellations on Southern between Brighton and Southampton Central, all due to storm Éowyn.
Yellow weather warning issued by the MetOffice remains in place until midnight tonight
