Bobby’s Bournemouth have begun construction work on their fourth floor in preparation to house The Botanist bar and restaurant.

The work is being carried out by Thompsons construction group.

The construction process has opened up 80 jobs.

The new venue will feature a sun terrace and it is acquiring 1,285 square metres of space within the department store.

The floor was once Bobby’s tea rooms but will now be a unique dining and drinking experience for guests.

The chain will open at some point this year, yet there is no set date as to when.

The Botanist is owned by New World Trading Company and are known for their signature cocktails and garden party style interiors.

They currently have over 20 branches across the UK.

The restaurant also has weekly offers and entertainment such as bingo and live music.

Bringing a unique and welcoming atmosphere to Bournemouth’s town centre.

Along with more job opportunities, and new tourism and economic prospects to BCP.

Bobby’s say they offer things the internet cannot, including workspaces, restaurants, art and culture, and community events.

Their website states that, ‘Anchor stores are no longer a draw, instead town centres need to offer multiple individual reasons for returning.’

Bobby’s said they will be posting updates over the coming months to provide updates on the construction.
