Dorset Police have released the image of a man they wish to identify in relation to an alleged racially aggravated assault in Bournemouth.
The incident occurred at around 11.50pm on Sunday 5 January 2025 on Holdenhurst Road.
The man approached the parked vehicle shouting racial abuse, causing the passenger to leave, before the suspect assaulted the driver and caused an injury to his eye.
Police Constable Morgan Dew, of Bournemouth Police, said: “This was a frightening and unprovoked assault that has had a significant impact on the victim.
“As part of my investigation, I am issuing an image of a man I would like to identify and would urge anyone who recognises him to please come forward.
“We do not tolerate racial abuse and will do all we can to identify the person involved.”
