Poole Town FC has partnered with Poole Foodbank+ to help aid the fight against food poverty in the local area.

The food bank aims to provide more than just food, as it is supported by a charity called Faithworks. They provide a safe welcoming space in a café-styled environment, hoping to give people the chance to chat with the food bank team.

There is also opportunities to support people with other services, such as debt advice or housing and homelessness support.

The club held a special foodbank match days at the BlackGold Stadium over the fixture heavy winter period.

The Dolphins will support the food bank on an ongoing basis throughout the seasons to come.

Ben Edgell, Poole Town FC commercial manager, emphasised the importance of providing support to the local community – particularly through the tough winter months: “As a football club this is about supporting our local community throughout the year”

“We know especially throughout winter the struggles this can cause to individuals and families in difficulty.

“Poole Town FC will continue to partner with local organisations to ensure no one in the community goes hungry.”

If you want to donate to Foodbank+ and support their cause, you can set up donations on the Faithworks website.
