Bournemouth Poppies are back in action this Saturday as they face Fareham Town.
The Poppies are in poor form going into this fixture, winning just one in eight games in the league and struggling to find goals.
Their opposition, Fareham Town, have seen better form than the Poppies recently winning two in five, but have failed to push on in the league.
This is their first game this season, with a previous meeting postponed in the new year but their last encounter suggests a close affair as Fareham beat the Bournemouth side 2-1 at the end of last season.
Poppies will be looking for revenge with an improved back-line, courtesy of veteran defender Craig Stanley’s return to the club this month.
Bournemouth Poppies manager Phil Brown gave his thoughts on the return of the centre-back:
“He’s a good leader, he’s experienced. When he was here for us at the start of the season we did really well.
“There’s a bit of unfinished business there between Craig and I […], hopefully we can go on a good run now with Craig back” – Brown continued.
With an enhanced squad, Bournemouth Poppies will look for a result away at Fareham this Saturday at 3pm.
