A breakfast bistro in Bournemouth has re-opened under new management.
Kalina-Magnolia Rui Da Silva, 27, has re-opened Intense Breakfast Bistro in Bournemouth – with a twist.
As an ex-student of the Arts University in Bournemouth, Kalina wants the space to be more than just a bistro. She wants the Bistro to bring artists and their art together, utilising the space to fuse art with food.
The café will be an inclusive, family-friendly space for people of all ages to come and relax in a welcoming environment, whilst enjoying art at the same time.
Speaking about utilising the art space, Kalina said:
“I want to connect with AUB and Bournemouth University to ask students from different courses. It doesn’t matter what course they do, but if they have something they are proud of, I will pick up some artwork from different artists and put them on display.
“People can also leave things like stickers, little prints around the bistro. I would also like to have little meetings for artists to gather there and people can communicate and share their views about their artwork”.
Miss Da Silva said to Bournemouth Echo:
“I wanted to create a place where people feel like they’re not just getting a great meal but also experiencing something vibrant, full of energy, and creative.
“I’ve always believed that art can bring a special ambience to any space, so I thought—why not fuse art with food?”
The Bistro is located at Poole Road, Branksome.
