Dr Rehan Zia’s photography exhibition The Hands That Feed Us is located in Bournemouth University’s Talbot Campus.

It features a collection of images taken of migrants and refugees at their places of work in Bournemouth.

The description of the exhibition is that it aims to ‘highlight and celebrate the positive contributions migrants and refugees make to society and to Bournemouth in particular.

‘It aims to counter the negative rhetoric and connotations that have been created around terms/labels such as ‘refugee’ and ‘migrant’ and shows the everyday, hardworking human beings just trying to get through life like everybody else.’

Dr Rehan Zia is an experienced photographer that has been awarded the Fellowship of the Royal Photographic Society (FRPS), the highest level of RPS distinctions, as well as the Fellowship of the Royal Society for Arts (FRSA).

The collection is up in the Lees Gallery from the 28th November 2024 – 28th January 2025.
