Man hospitalised following fail-to-stop collision in Bournemouth

January 17, 2025 //  by Ethan Hoskin

Witness Appeal

A man in his twenties was taken to hospital to receive treatment for serious injuries sustained in a fail-to-stop collision in Bournemouth

Dorset Police have provided an update to a collision report involving a bicycle and a vehicle in Castle Lane West, near the Broadway Roundabout.

It was reported that the vehicle involved failed to stop.

He has since been discharged.

Officers have been carrying out enquiries and have identified a white Ford Transit van which is suspected to be involved.

A 30 year old man from Bournemouth was arrested on suspicion of driving offences and conspiring to pervert the course of justice.

He has been released under investigation as further enquiries are carried out.

Sergeant Lee Savage, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “We are continuing to investigate the full circumstances of this collision and have updated the injured man and his family with the latest developments.

“I am still keen to hear from any witnesses to this incident who have not already spoken to police, as well as anyone who may have relevant dashcam footage”.
