The A338 Wessex Way has now reopened after an incident near to the St. Pauls Roundabout.
Police had been called to an incident on the A338 earlier today.
Police were initially called over concern for a woman from Bournemouth.
A Police Spokesperson advised motorists to avoid the area.
Fire service and officers were both on the scene and have now cleared the road.
