Weymouth 0-1 Maidstone United: The Terras make it four league losses in a row.

Weymouth lost once more as 14th minute header from Raphe Brown was enough to take all three points for Maidstone United.

The Terras remain bottom of the National League South, 12 points from safety.

Warren Feeney made three changes from the side that lost 1-0 to Worthing on Saturday.

Captain Tom Bearwish, Brandon Goodship, and new loan signing Harrison Day replaced Brooklyn Genesini, Ben Greenwood and Jordan Maguire-Drew.

Maidstone started the brighter, with Aaron Blair heading over the crossbar.

It was not long before the deadlock was broken.

In the 26th minute, Ben Brookes’ cross was nodded home by Raphe Brown.

Maidstone continued to dominate, with Charlie Seaman forcing Will Buse into a magnificent save, before Bivesh Gurung’s rebound was cleared.

George Fowler then narrowly fired his low shot wide of the post.

Into the second half, the impressive Ben Greenwood replaced Harrison Day.

Greenwood was immediately involved in the action and was fouled in the box, with the referee pointing to the penalty spot.

Brandon Goodship stepped up to take the penalty but dragged his effort wide.

Despite the missed penalty, Weymouth continued to grow into the game.

Jake McCarthy’s volley flew narrowly wide, before his deflected effort went over.

Into the final 15 minutes, Ibrahim Meite was denied by a brilliant tackle from George Fowler.

It went bad to worse for Weymouth in the final few minutes as Calvin Brooks was dismissed after an elbow into the face of Gurung.

Weymouth fell to their fifth straight defeat in all competitions.

The Terras welcome fellow strugglers Enfield Town on Saturday.

Subs not used: Genesini, Maguire-Drew, Pollock, Thomas.

Maidstone: Andre Jr, Fowler, Eweka, Brown (Greenidge 85’), Brookes, Gurung, Seaman, Corne (Higgs 77’), Trusty, Wanju-Smith (Coulthirst 80’), Blair.
