Snap Fitness club manager has assured students in Winton that the new gym will be ‘student friendly’.
The gym, coming in December, will replace Wilko, with the building being without use for over two years.
Winton is home to many student residents and Snap Fitness have taken that into account.
Club Manager Josh Glover said: “We know students make up a big part of the Winton community, so our gym will be student friendly in both pricing and atmosphere.”
He also said: “We’ll be offering exclusive student discount, flexible memberships, access to all facilities 24/7 and a supportive social environment that fits around busy student schedules.”
Student and resident of Winton, Rhys Owen said: “I think with the budget of university students the travel can make it hard for people to get to gyms on a regular basis.”
He added: “I can keep the membership during the university timetable, and I can go back to the gym back home.”
Fellow student, Sam Witham, said: “I can definitely see the appeal of Snap Fitness based on location.
“The main selling point for gyms is to be 24/7 especially to students.”
Asked on employment opportunities, Mr Glover said: “We are currently recruiting for personal trainers, class instructors and reformer Pilates instructors.”
