Bournemouth vs Crystal Palace preview

October 17, 2025 //  by Jamie Speller

FC Bournemouth travel to London to face Crystal Palace on Saturday in what is a top of the table clash.

The Cherries go into this game 6 unbeaten in the league, whilst Palace have just lost their 19-game unbeaten streak in competitions.

Both are currently flying in the league too, with Palace in 6th place and Bournemouth just in the Champions League spots in 4th.

A big reason for the Cherries doing that well is down to Antoine Semenyo.

The Ghanian international has scored 6 goals and assisted 3 in 7 games for Bournemouth this season.

Many teams are now looking to snap up the 24 year old either this January or next Summer.

Bournemouth also statistically have the 3rd best defence in the league this season, despite losing 4 of the 5 that were regulars from last year.

In the last 19 meetings between the two sides, Bournemouth have won 6 games, Palace 6, and they’ve drawn 7 games.

The most recent game ended in a 0-0, with Crystal Palace managing to cling on after a Chris Richards red card.

As for injuries, neither side have any fresh ones but Adam Smith is back and available.

That will benefit the Cherries as Julio Soler is currently on international duty with the Argentinian u-20s.

A win for either side will be a big boost for their European chances, despite it still being early in the season.
