Hamworthy United host Kintbury Rangers Saturday afternoon

Match Preview as Hamworthy United host Kintbury Rangers

Following their 3-2 loss away at United Services Portsmouth, Hamworthy United will be looking for a bounce back to winning form when they host 11th placed Kintbury Rangers tomorrow afternoon.

Goals from Jack Hughes and Josh Malpas were unable to hand any points to the Hammers last weekend, however prior to the loss in Portsmouth, Hamworthy had won four from four in both league and cup.

Kintbury Rangers are also coming off the back of an away loss having suffered a 2-0 defeat to Whitchurch United.

Before that, the newly promoted side had been in relatively high form taking three wins from their last five, leaving them within touching distance of the playoff places.

There should be a reasonable expectation for goals at the County Ground tomorrow with Hamworthy’s Bailey Rowe on twelve goals for the season already, followed by attackers Jack Delves and Jack Hughes both on four goals, Delves adding another four assists to that total as well.

All three of which, along with the likes of Josh Malpas should all be eager to get onto the scoresheet again tomorrow afternoon.

Meanwhile, Kintbury Rangers are one of the leagues highest conceders with the side letting 24 goals past them in their 12 games so far.

In terms of lineup, Hamworthy United are once again expected to lineup with a 4-3-3. Captain George Deem is once again likely to play in the defence, despite playing last season as a striker. Barring injury or unavailability, Hughes, Delves and Rowe should all be the attacking trio with recent arrival Kinge-Phillips in midfield behind them.

Hamworthy United should go into the game cautiously optimistic. They are the side who are in slightly better form, higher in the table and against a side who are new to the division this season.

However, a lack of consistency has been a thorn in the side of player/manager Micky Hubbard all season so far and a draw, or loss, should not be an unexpected result, even if highly disappointing, on Saturday.
