Cafe Velo Domestique located in Southbourne, Bournemouth has quietly been growing in size and popularity over the last 10 years.
In the most recent survey by ‘Coffee Friend’ Velo Domestique was rated the third best cafe in the UK, despite having the smallest social following compared to anyone else on the list.
The small cafe started as a pop up shop in the early months of 2016 before making their plans permanent by moving to their Southbourne location.
Multiple staff members have all agreed that the businesses best attribute is their customer service, they are very proud of that.
Cafe Manager, Kyle Granger said: “We feel that we have grown into quite a laid back and relaxing space for our customers.”
“We have our customers to thank for being ranked third, which is always a nice achievement to get.”
“Being third for customer ratings in general is quite good for us.”
The cafe has also won multiple Britter Awards for their water sustainability.
“It definitely puts us up there in terms of giving us the confidence of knowing that we are doing a pretty good job.”, Granger added.
Over the past ten years the cafe has seen rapid growth and they pride themselves on the fact new customers almost always turn into regulars.
The manager had mentioned as a team their aim is to create a valuable and sentimental space for coffee enthusiasts.
