Road closures ahead of Bournemouth run

October 10, 2025 //  by Toby Harrison

Roads will be closed in preparation for Run Bournemouth this weekend along with parking restrictions in the area.

Roads will be closed in preparation for Run Bournemouth this weekend along with parking restrictions in the area.

Roads from Hengistbury Head to Bournemouth Pier will be closed at 4am on Saturday to 6pm on Sunday.

Road closures will be split into three zones that span the Bournemouth seafront.

Zone one covers Southbourne, zone two covers Boscombe and zone three covers the area from Boscombe to Bournemouth Pier.

Emergency service vehicles will not be affected by any of the restrictions.

Event Organisers said they have “striven to minimise the disruptive impact of the event to allow those directly affected to carry on with their daily routine”.

Involved charities are Macmillan Cancer Support, MS Society, Alzheimer Scotland and the British Heart Foundation.

The first day will be the Junior 1.5k and 2k runs starting on Bournemouth Prom and finish near the Run Bournemouth Hub in the Lower Gardens.

There will also be a supernova 5k run in the evening which takes place at dusk with an emphasis on light around the area.

The second day includes the supersonic 10k which will take runners across both Boscombe and Bournemouth Piers.

The half marathon finishes Run Bournemouth off starting at 11am with prizes like a medal and finisher t-shirt.

Any extra Information can be found by contacting the event team on 07742 819174 or consulting the Run Bournemouth website.
