A screening for two local documentaries was held in Patch, Bobby’s last night.
The screening featured two documentaries which celebrated the heritage and culture of Bournemouth.
Both documentaries were in part filmed and researched by Bournemouth University Graduates.
‘Coastal stories, Coastal communities’, directed by Patrick Frost, explored the current state of Bournemouth town centre and discussed the future of Bournemouth.
‘Brewed by the coast’, directed by Ariana King explored the story of the now closed Poole Hill brewery.
Ariana King, producer of ‘Brewed by the coast’, said on her documentary: “we filmed for three or four nights. It was nice to see a place where people find friendships regularly.”
Both documentaries received positive receptions from audiences.
Town Platforms, one of the event sponsors, supports local businesses by rewarding those who shop locally.

Following the screenings a discussion panel took place, allowing residents to have input into the documentaries.
The event was also Sponsored by the BCP film office.
All ticket sales went to filmmakers, helping to cover costs for film festivals.
