Alex Scott has been left out of the England squad to play Serbia in the World Cup qualifiers, as he will now have to wait for his first England appearance.
Despite being picked in the broader 25-man squad for the double-header against Serbia and Albania, England manager Thomas Tuchel has chosen to leave Scott out of the final matchday selection.
Defender Marc Guehi has also been excluded due to an injury.
Scott’s omission is not a reflection of an issue, but rather a blend of squad balance and managing a player’s induction to the Three Lions side carefully.
For Scott, it means he will have to wait just a little longer but could make an appearance against Albania in the upcoming World Cup qualifier match for England.
