Asda has been a part of the children in need family for 25 years having raised a total of £38 million each year since 2000.

Over the 25 years the partnership has supported over 350,000 children and young adults.

Children in need have also said that since 2023 when the fuelling potential scheme was launched they are currently very close to their three year goal.

Many people have said that they feel strongly about what children in need stand for and helping disadvantaged children.

A bunch of Asda colleagues have set up a little activities and games table alongside karaoke at the entrance of the Asda in Lansdowne.

There is a group of colleagues that have come up with the idea to hold a cycle challenge in the store.

They are challenging brave customers to attempt to complete 250 miles to celebrate the 25 years.

Asda colleague, Nicki Pelling spoke about the level of passionate people that make fundraising that more special.

Nicki said:” I love dressing up as Pudsey Bear, he makes it all feel that little bit more special.”

Ms Pelling has commented saying they regularly have children walk in and laugh and smile at seeing stickers of Pudsey.

Nicki said:”seeing all the children’s responses to Pudsey is just magical and makes it all worth so much more.”
