Around Dorset, many bands and music groups gathered to perform at remembrance services and parades across the county.
In Wimborne, the Remembrance Parade featured the Wessex marching Band along with the buglers from ‘The Quarter jacks of Wimborne Marching Band’.
The Wessex Marching Band have announced they are playing the winter concert at the Electric Palace in Bridport on the 30th November.
During the Wimborne parade, the buglers’ performance of the Last Post, followed by the cannon, was described as a ‘moving performance’.
Sue from Walking With The Wounded, an armed forces charity, said: “Music is an important part of Remembrance Day.
“Veterans we work alongside use Remembrance Day as a time to reflect on service and remember those who didn’t make it out, for veterans that are struggling it can be a difficult time, and music can help to ease this in some cases.”
