Bournemouth AC’s William Langridge continues to perform at top level this 2025 season.

He holds the UK No.1 title in both indoor and outdoor triple jump for the U20 age group.

His personal best leap of 14.71m, set in May, keeps him at the peak of his competitive category.

Now in his second year of U20, Langridge still holds the U17 Dorset County triple jump record.

He has also claimed county titles in long jump, 100m and 200m.

Reflecting on his journey, he said: “Initially I was a long jumper chasing English schools standard

I kept training and eventually made it to English schools which is when I started taking it seriously”

He added: “Maybe an international competition is on the cards”.

Langridge is ambitious to push onto the global stage while keeping the enjoyment that first drew him to the sport.

Balancing A-levels with training, Langridge is targeting personal bests and hopes to take athletics further at university.

He credits his parents’ support, driving him to sessions and competitions, as key to his success.
