Tattooist Tabby Holdsworth, revealed plans of opening a tattoo parlour named shrinecat studio’s by the end of this month.
Work has been put into the preparation of the parlour, which is undergoing preparations for opening, and will be found in the Arcade, in town centre, Bournemouth.
Tabby prepared her parlour for opening by sanding down the walls, then adding paint and finishing them with original hand inscribed artwork.
She said: “We basically just, like, revitalised it in a way, made it super colourful.”
“I think it is really down to the studio to make it a comfortable environment. Like, I think that what you should know before entering a studio is that you’re in safe hands.”
Tabby encourages people to come in and paint on one of the walls in their own creative style.
She said: ”It’ll be organic people’s art. I want it to look like the tunnels in London. just messy.”
Tabby and Mina, both practise a similar tattooing style called Cybersigilism, which is known to blend aspects of the digital and virtual world with gothic and spiritual elements.
Tabby previously worked in concept art, but after worries about the impact of A.I on the industry at the time, began to pursue a career in tattoo work.
Tabby believes that tattooing allowed her the ‘freedom in creativity’ that she didn’t get from concept art.
She said: “I found my passion for tattooing when I first started. It all just made sense compared to concept art.”
“I wanted to get into something that’s more organic, working with real people, and that’s why I chose tattooing.”
Shrinecat studio’s will be booking only.
