Alex Scott will have to wait for his international debut as he was omitted from England’s squad for last night’s World Cup Qualifying win against Serbia at Wembley.

The Cherries midfielder received a first call up to the national team call up last Friday and joined up with the Three Lions squad during the week for training.

Scott spoke to the media on Tuesday at the St. Georges Park training complex but was left out by manager Thomas Tuchel for England’s 2-0 victory over Serbia, with Saka and Eze the goal scorers.

The 22-year-old who started all but one game this season for Bournemouth can make his debut for the national side on Sunday against Albania (16th November, 5pm kick-off).

He would become only the third active Cherries player to achieve an England cap alongside former teammate Lewis Cook, and former Bournemouth forward Callum Wilson.
