Unbeaten Bournemouth RFC travel to Old Tiffinians tomorrow for a game in the Regional 2 South Central Division.
The top of the table clash is taking place at Grist Memorial Ground, with Bournemouth looking for a repeat of the 40-24 win they achieved over the hosts in October.
Bournemouth currently sit 1st in the table, with 13 wins and one draw so far this season.
But Old Tiffinians are hot on their tales, sitting in 3rd with 1o wins and 4 defeats. They have only lost twice at home in this campaign.
With that in mind, both teams come into this one in good form, Old Tiffinians had won seven in a row before a 31-27 defeat at Tottonians last weekend.
Bournemouth have won their last four, since the only time they dropped points this season, that also came against Tottonians – a 22-22 draw in November.
They thrashed Twickenham 66-15 in their first game of the year last weekend, continuing the good form they ended the season on.
Old Tiffinians have scored one more point than Bournemouth this season, 505 compared to 504, but Bournemouth have the meanest defence in the league, only conceding 211 points this season – Old Tiffinians have conceded 303.
Bournemouth will be hoping to strengthen their advantage at the top of the table – currently level on points with Winchester with 64 points.
Grant Hancox may start for Bournemouth, having recently returned after 11 months out due to an ACL injury.
During an exclusive interview with Buzz Bournemouth’s Roan Fox, which you can read in full here, he said: “For me, it’s to play as much as physically possible.
“I want to be there, in an ideal world, I play every minute of the rest of the season.
His goals for the rest of the season are clear – promotion is on the mind of all at the club.
He said: “At the moment, we are in fantastic form, sitting top of the table, and it’s no secret that our aim is to get promoted.”
Bournemouth currently sit in the sixth tier of the English Rugby Union pyramid, and a win this weekend would go a long way to securing promotion into the fifth tier, the Regional 1 Leagues.
