Anna Bogusiewicz, of Park Avenue in Wraysbury, has been sentenced to 28 months in prison and a three-year driving ban today at Southampton Crown Court after hitting Bashley FC player Jordan Chedozie whilst driving under the influence.
She was charged with causing serious injury by dangerous driving and drink driving.
DC Joy Jarvis from Hampshire & Isle of Wight police said: “There is absolutely no excuse for getting behind the wheel of any vehicle when you are impaired from drinking alcohol.
“This terrible collision, which has changed a man’s life, could have easily been avoided if the defendant hadn’t made that selfish decision to drive while drunk.”
The police received a report at 10:25pm on Saturday the 1st of February 2025 that a major collision on the M27 happened.
The footballer was inspecting a flat tyre on his Volkswagen Golf before 45-year-old Bogusiewicz’s Mercedes struck Chiedozie and his vehicle.
The former Cherry suffered major injuries, he has lost his right leg, a cracked pelvis, open fractures and was put into a medically induced coma.
Jordan Chiedozie’s statement praised the support from the football community since the crash.
