Dorset Police detectives are asking for witnesses to come forward following a reported robbery in Poole.

At around 10.15am on Tuesday, 13th of January 2026, a man entered Meadowbrook Produce and entered behind the counter taking knives and a knife sharpener, threatening a staff member with the knife sharpener, before taking money from the till.

He left the scene in a silver Volkswagen Golf and left damage on the store.

A 50-year-old local man was arrested on suspicion of robbery and criminal damage but has since been released on police bail as the investigation. Continues.

BCP CID Detective Constable Niki Edwards stated:
“We are continuing to investigate what happened and from our enquiries, we understand there were a number of people in the area of the store around the relevant time.

I would urge any witnesses who have not already spoken to police to please contact us.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Dorset Police online at https://www.dorset.police.uk/or by calling 101.

You may also contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously online at https://crimestoppers-uk.org or by calling the number 0800 555 111.
