Dorset Police have announced a witness appeal following a collision which caused serious injuries in West Moors.
They are asking for dashcam footage which may have captured the events of the collision, as well as any witnesses to go along with this.
The collision was reported to police at 1:37PM on Friday 23 January 2026, taking place at the junction of Station Road and Denewood Road in West Moors.
It involved a blue Volkswagen Caddy that was being used as a taxi and silver Ford B-Max.
A woman in her 80s that was travelling as a passenger in the taxi was taken to hospital.
Her injuries were confirmed to be serious and her family were subsequently informed.
Sergeant Mike Burt, of the Serious Collision Investigation Team, said: “We are carrying out a detailed investigation into this collision and I would ask any witnesses who have not already spoken to police to please make contact with us.
“I would also make a request to any motorists with dashcam who were in the area around the relevant time to please review their footage for anything that might assist our enquiries.”
