Woman to appear in court over serious collision

A woman has been charged and is due to appear in court following a serious injury collision in Winton. The woman has been charged with causing serious injury by careless/inconsiderate driving and driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence.

The woman, 42-years-old from Bournemouth, is to appear at Poole Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 22 January 2026.

The collision occured on Tuesday 4 March 2025 at 1:18 pm. The woman was opperating a red Vauxhall Mokka and hit a red Triumph motorbike. The rider of the motorbike, aged in his 60s, was taken to hospital for treatment of his life-threatening injuries.

The woman did not sustain any serious injuries.
