Forward Callum Wilson was left delighted with the character his Bournemouth side showed after they came from a goal down to beat Arsenal 2-1 at the Vitality Stadium on Sunday.
The 25-year-old scored the equaliser after Hector Bellerin had put Arsenal ahead and then played an instrumental role in the second, setting up Jordan Ibe to smash home his first goal for the club.
Wilson, whose career has been plagued with knee injuries, took his tally up to 7 Premier League goals for the season as Bournemouth steered clear of the relegation zone into 13th place.
And the Englishman was pleased with the fight his side showed to turnaround the game.
Wilson told the Bournemouth Rock: “I think of late we’ve been going one goal down and showing good character to get back into the game.
“It didn’t really change anything, you know you’ve still got a long period of the game to go so you’ve just got to move into the game a bit more.
“Everyone picked themselves up.”
Jordan Ibe was equally as impressed with the Cherries performance, after he scored his first goal for the club in 46 attempts.
Ibe told the Bournemouth Rock: “It was a great assist by him, great ball over the top so I just have to give credit to the team.
“As I said before we all worked hard.”
Eddie Howe’s side will have to contend with an FA Cup third round replay against Wigan Athletic on Wednesday, before taking on West Ham United in what Wilson has described as a crucial fixture.
He said: “Its massive (on West Ham game).
“There in and around us in the league so we know how vital it is to make sure were picking up points, but next game is in the cup, so we’ll focus on that first and then go back to the league.”
