This weekend, some Bournemouth families spent their Saturday afternoons slightly different to how you could imagine…
Parents and children lined the streets of Holdenhurst Road yesterday to gain entry into Big Fish Little Fish’s ‘Family Rave’.
The event was hosted by organiser Neil Briggs alongside DMC World Champion, DJ Chad Jackson, at Bournemouth’s renowned nightclub The Old Firestation.
Neil hosts events like these all around the country in a bid to get children off their screens for a few hours, getting them up and moving whilst enjoying time with their families.
According to recent statistics released by CHILDWISE, children claim to use the internet for an average of 3 hours per day whilst 1 in 8 spending more than 6 hours online a day.
Children as young as 5 now own mobile phones, which is up 35% compared to a year ago.
