Justin Tomlinson will remain as MP for Swindon North after a comfortable winning margin.
Tomlinson effectively doubled his majority, cruising to a gap of 16,151 votes over Labour. A marginal after the Blair years, the Tories enjoyed a 7.1% swing from Labour.
The incumbent since 2010, Tomlinson was the first Conservative to win the seat from Labour, who had held the constituency since its inception in 1997.
Despite losing votes in 2017, Tomlinson managed to fend off the Labour candidate Kate Linnegar to secure a fourth consecutive term as Swindon North MP.
