“Every day, more than eight million pieces of plastic go into the sea, and if we don’t address the problem, by 2050 there’ll likely be more plastic in the sea than fish.” – Jo Hand
The Price of Plastic is a radio documentary investigating the financial constraints faced by those who wish to minimise their use of single-use plastics, and the subsequent environmental impact of our shopping habits.
Aimed at BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra Stories, this documentary highlights the vast gap in price between loose and pre-packaged products, and how the majority of products in our supermarkets already come wrapped in single-use plastic.
