Officers are issuing a CCTV image of four men they would like to speak to in their investigation of a robbery in Bournemouth town centre.
Police are appealing for information following a violent incident in Bournemouth which left a man with facial injuries.
At around 1:20 am on Friday 3 January 2020, four men approached a 19-year-old man outside Pandora on Old Christchurch Road. One man attempted to steal the young victim’s phone and freshly withdrawn cash after tackling him to the ground.
After his attack was unsuccessful, two other members of the group joined in with the assault. They obtained a bottle of alcohol that he was carrying in addition to the man’s money and mobile.
Despite being hit several times in the face, the victim only sustained minor injuries but medical treatment was not required. During the assault, one of the attackers reportedly threatened the young man with a knife.
The man with the knife has been described as white, possibly in his 20s and about five foot seven inches. He was wearing a black Nike jacket, white shorts and a black backpack.
The other attackers were two white males and a slim black male, with two silver teeth on the bottom row. Each of the three men were seen wearing grey Nike jackets.
Investigations Officer Emily Greenwood, of Bournemouth CID, said: “We have been making enquiries into this unprovoked, violent incident and have obtained a CCTV image of four men we would like to speak to.
“I appreciate the image is not of the best quality but would urge anyone who has any information as to their identity to please contact us.”
