Dorset Police investigating an assault that took place in Bournemouth have issued a CCTV image of the suspect.
The incident occurred at 6.57pm on Sunday 29 December 2019 after a man entered the Nisa store on Castle Lane West and asked to bulk-buy a large quantity of cigarettes.
The man became aggressive when a member of staff explained that they could not sell that many cigarettes in one sale.
The 23-year-old man refused to serve him, at which point the offender reached over the counter and began to punch him.
He was hit in the arm and narrowly missed being struck on the face, but did not sustain any injuries.
Police Community Support Investigator David Singleton, of Bournemouth police, said: “We are continuing to investigate this assault.
“I have obtained a CCTV image of the suspect that could help me in my investigation and I would urge anyone who recognises the man in this image to please get in touch.”
