What a difference a win makes.
AFCB Bournemouth’s long-suffering fans have endured all sorts of emotions this year. And it’s fair to say the mood has been somewhat subdued in recent weeks. There was the heavy home loss to Watford and then the defeat at Norwich.
But then came the win against Brighton and spirits appear to have lifted. BUzzs looks back at what happened during what could prove to be a pivotal three days.
Before
Before the 3-1 win against Brighton & Hove Albion, pressure was mounting on AFC Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe.
After not a single win in the Premier League since December, AFC Bournemouth had looked to end their six game winless run and get their first victory of 2020.
The club had been split with some calling for Howe to leave the Cherries on social media.
The 42-year-old was the bookies favourite for the next Premier League manager to be sacked before the clash with the Seagulls.
Bournemouth were victorious with five of their last six home league meetings with the Seagulls.
Prior to the meeting between with Brighton, the Cherries had only won five league matches out of a possible 23.

After
The Cherries were sitting in 19th place before Brighton victory and now have moved up into 18th but are still fighting in a relegation battle.
They now have 14 games left in the league to climb out of the relegation zone with West Ham United sitting just above them.
While Bournemouth still sit in the bottom three, an away win against the Seagulls had pushed Howe back to now be second favourite manager to be sacked in the league, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at top.
The Cherries have won their first league home game since November against Manchester United.
Bournemouth forward, Callum Wilson had also ended a run of 1,319 minutes without a league goal.
Harry Willson had also added to the score sheet with Pascal Gross scoring an own goal.
With the final stages of the game, Aaron Mooy had pulled one back for the home side.
They will now look to continue their winning streak against Arsenal in the FA Cup and Aston Villa clash in the league.
