Dons Local Action Group is a charity that was formed in 2020 by AFC Wimbledon fans in response to the coronavirus pandemic. Dons Local Action Group has provided over 128,000 food boxes, more than 175 furniture and appliances and over 1000 laptops and tablets.

Krishan Parmar joined the charity as a volunteer during the first Coronavirus lockdown and is now part of the media and communications team.

Before the pandemic Krishan Parmar, who lives in London, was a fashion stylist, working on red carpets and editorial photo shoots.

The charity, which covers Merton, Wandsworth and Kingston, is run by local volunteers with the purpose of helping fighting poverty, isolation and helping those in need.

Our reporter Anna Minter spoke to Krishan Parmar to find out why he traded red carpets for food parcels.

Has Coronavirus made you change career paths? We want to hear from you.
