The Romsey based family theme park hired a record number of staff in the summer of 2021, but their new drive recruit will increase that by another 40%.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson had announced this back in November in a speech to the Confederation of British Industry at South Shields but this morning it was confirmed by the parks head of human resources Darren Vann.
Darren Vann, Head of HR said: “We’re looking for 500 fantastic people to join our team next year.
“2022 is an exciting year for Paultons, we’ll be celebrating the opening of another new ride in Tornado Springs, Farmyard Flyer, and will be looking forward to hopefully the first normal season after the pandemic.”
The uplift in staff will allow for greater flexibility in their hours. Seasonal staff are offered competitive hourly and weekly rates, have access to free parking, subsidised food, full training and complimentary park tickets.
James Mancey, operations director at Paultons Park, added: “The New Forest has always been a popular holiday destination for families in the UK, however since the pandemic and with restrictions on international travel, interest in the area has skyrocketed.
“In tandem with this, we opened our latest attraction, Tornado Springs, in April 2021. The new themed area, with several new rides, has been a big hit with families of all ages and has resulted in a sizeable increase in demand for tickets.
“We will also be opening another new ride, Farmyard Flyer, this spring and so, as a result of increased offering and demand, we’re looking for even more seasonal staff to join us in 2022.”
Paultons Park is looking for staff to be placed in roles ahead of the new season starting on February 19th.
Seasonal positions include ride operators, entertainments assistants, cleaning team, warehouse, retail/admissions, food and beverage, first aid, gardens and grounds and zoo team on weekdays, weekends, school and bank holidays.
