The January transfer window is in full swing in what could finish being a busy month for AFC Bournemouth, as they look to secure incomings as well as balancing with outgoings.
Their first bit of business was finalised earlier this week with defender James Hill securing a loan move to Scottish Premiership side Heart of Midlothian F.C.
Since, speculation has circulated on the potential incomings and outgoings.
A chase is on for the signature of the FC Lorient winger Dango Ouattara, with Everton and Leicester also showing interest in the 20-year-old.
Recent reports that newly made owner Bill Foley is looking to purchase a stake in the Ligue 1 club gives encouragement that the Cherries will be able to land the sought-after attacker.
Buzz News understands that midfielder Emiliano Marcondes, who joined in July 2021, is close to agreeing a deal with Danish side FC Nordsjaelland as the Dane looks to gain more minutes for the remainder of the season. Reports suggest it could be pen to paper on a loan deal for Marcondes.
Buzz News also understands that there is interest for striker Jamal Lowe coming from clubs in the Championship. Bournemouth were not able to deny there is interest for the Jamaican international, with the striker only accumulating 103 minutes for the Cherries this season.
BUzz News caught up with AFC Bournemouth expert and youtuber Craig Beazley to discuss the speculation. Speaking on Marcondes, he said:
“I think he is probably coming to the end of his time here unfortunately. I think it is because of the players he’s got to compete with.”
On Lowe, Mr Beazley said it was a ‘shame’ to see the striker leave.
“He’s done well, and we won’t forget the goal where he held up David Brooks’ shirt. It’s a shame.”
With the news of potentially signing Ouattara, Mr Beazley said:
“From what we know, he’s a quality player. Got a lot about him and a very young player. I think he’ll offer something different and with the Bill Foley connection we are hopeful for that to go over the line.”
“Who can we bring in that offers something different. Different then (Dominic) Solanke and (Kiefer) Moore. Something different to Phillip Billing and Lewis Cook. Those questions need to be asked.”

It appears as though the wheels are in motion for the Cherries in the January Window, with head coach Gary O’Neill voicing the need to improve on the squad and Foley seemingly to be behind him for the time being.
