A former Bournemouth university student is running for election for the African Democratic Congress in Nigeria.
This is to combat what she describes as a decade of conflict in the country.
Hawwah Gambo, studied journalism at the university before the pandemic.
She believes the time she spent there is where she rediscovered her “authentic self, value and worth.”
Hawwah would like to bring communities back together in Nigeria, by establishing committees and platforms for conflict resolution.
She said: “We all have a role to play in building societies.
My society has been embroiled in insecurity and internal conflict for the past decade.”
She wishes to see the return of peace and security for her society.
